From the receptionist booking our dinner reservation, to the excellent server, our dinner was excellent. My wine pour was generous, they have a carafe of water on the table, which I like. The kitchen split our salad onto two plates - very generous portions of the delicious tomato, fresh mozzarella, pesto and arugula salad. My salmon was superb - cooked as I request, with a light citrusey buerre blanc drizzeled over, along side tender, but crispy, well-seasoned fingerling potatoes and a generous mix of peppers and summer squash. My husband's fish and chips was another generous portion elevated - with a light tasty crust, tender cod and the widely - and deservedly-praised french fries. It was just an excellent meal and a lovely experience. We sat outside on the lower level patio - which was accessed by a staircase from the front door. If you have issues with stairs, there is parking on the patio level which would make accessing the patio without stairs. The patio is a bit spare - we look forward to seeing it develop with more greenery. This is my only criticism. We will be back! Definitely a find...everything was incredible Mary Ellen GustainisTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We held a 60th anniversary party for our parents in the Carriage House a few weeks ago. I can't thank Cara and 1754 House enough for taking such good care of us! The venue is so beautiful, it's light and airy and open and comfortable - so easy for guests to relax and enjoy each other's company. Everyone RAVED about the food - from the outstanding cheese platter appetizers to the salads, the dinner and the (yum) desserts - it was all delicious. Cara was wonderful to work with - she listened and understood the kind of party and guests and experience we were looking for, and I trusted her to guide us in our choices - she did not disappoint. And I felt the value for the price was really outstanding. I'd wholeheartedly recommend 1754 / Carriage House for any type of party! Thank you, Cara and staff!Google rating score: 4.6 of 5, based on 323 reviews
